GitHub – uiverse-io/galaxy: The largest Open-Source UI Library

The largest Open-Source UI Library! Community-made and free to use. Made with either CSS or Tailwind. - uiverse-io/galaxy

Meet Galaxy, the largest open-source UI library

If you’ve ever hunted for a ready-made UI pattern and felt a little lost, Galaxy will feel like breathing room. It’s a community-made collection of more than 3,000 unique UI elements, curated straight from Uiverse.io and packaged in a single GitHub archive so you can grab what you need, fast. I found myself using a few components the other day, copy-pasting a button and a tooltip into a prototype, and honestly it saved me hours… small wins, right?

A few practical things to know. Galaxy offers components built with plain CSS or Tailwind, so you can fit them into whatever workflow you’re already using. The repo mirrors categories you actually care about — Buttons, Cards, Forms, Inputs, Tooltips, Loaders, and more. All elements are available under the MIT License, so you’re free to use and modify them, and though attribution isn’t required, crediting the original creator and Uiverse.io is really appreciated.

Important note, from their maintainer: direct pull requests to this repository will be ignored, because the Galaxy is managed only through the Uiverse.io platform, which keeps things consistent. If a page looks odd, you might see messages like “There was an error while loading, please reload this page,” just refresh and try again.

Want to explore? Check the GitHub mirror here: https://github.com/uiverse-io/galaxy, or browse visually at https://uiverse.io for the full interactive experience.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to see more designers add fresh patterns, and for this collection to keep growing. It’s one of those community projects that actually feels collaborative, and if you tinker with UI often, Galaxy will become one of those tabs you keep open.
